Schools in Narmada District

About the project

Our first project was a supproting school in Narmada District for children under 15 years old. In addition to the long-lasting impact of the catastrophic earthquake in 2001, existing schools are severely lacking in basic supplies of educational tools like stationary, mathematical equipment, and classroom equipment.

Starting point

The first step to understand the scope of the project was to learn what shaped a child's learning experience in villages and to find out how we could make improvements.

Support from local communities

Location, scale, and accessibility was absolutely crucial to this project. We wanted to make the biggest but most realistic impact to the educational landscape in villages.

End result

Contextualizing the needs of rural/tribal schoolchildren, their parents, and their educators helped us to construct a well-equipped, bright, and accessible place of learning.
